Thank you very much for registering for the Advocacy Media Training program. The 10-week virtual training sessions begin with our initial kickoff session at Noon-2pm EST, Thursday, March 11. Weekly two-hour recorded sessions will be held until May 20. (We will not conduct a session on Thursday, March 25 to accommodate the GO2 Foundation’s Lung Cancer Voices Summit program.) These virtual sessions comprise the first phase of this two-year project. In Phase Two, we will develop customized media contact lists and ongoing coaching for participants.
Our goal is to cultivate a network of advocates who will engage in mass media opportunities that elevate the needs of the lung cancer community as well as educate the public about lung cancer. We expect this program will result in high impact in addressing stigma, raising awareness about screening, radon, biomarker testing, targeted therapy, and—most of all—inspiring hope through an expanding network of passionate, trained advocates.
This project was made possible through a grant from the Lung Ambition Alliance: Initiatives in Lung Cancer Care, made possible by AstraZeneca, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, Guardant Health, and the Global Lung Cancer Coalition.
